“Let’s Go Green” 2024 EcoEXPO Coming to Leesburg

The Lake County 2024 EcoExpo is set to take place on Saturday, March 2 at the Lake Square Mall, located at 10401 US Hwy 441 in Leesburg, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Under the theme “Lake County – Let’s Go Green!”, this year’s EcoExpo will be blooming with excitement. The event is free and open to the public.
Featuring a diverse range of about 50 exhibits, the 2024 EcoExpo showcases the collective efforts of government agencies, nonprofit conservation organizations, and green businesses – a first for the expo. Visitors can explore a gallery of twenty environmental maps of Lake County, produced by GIS.
Climate First Bank, a supporter of eco-conscious initiatives, has sponsored a poster contest aimed at Lake County high school students. The event will display 50 unique posters, with the winners set to be announced during the EcoExpo.

For those seeking a more hands-on experience, the Trout Lake Nature Center of Eustis will host an interactive discovery exhibit. Exhibits will be open for exploration from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The 2024 EcoExpo boasts a lineup of over 20 speakers from diverse backgrounds, including government, academia, and business. Attendees can look forward to engaging discussions on smart growth, sustainability, energy alternatives, climate change, and community resilience throughout the day. The keynote speaker for this year’s event is Lake County Commissioner Doug Shields. Speaker sessions will run continuously from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
