Mount Dora Christian Academy’s Tyler McClinton-Hutto Poised To Dominate In 2024

Mount Dora, FL – Tyler McClinton-Hutto, who is coming into his senior year at Mount Dora Christian Academy, is quickly becoming a name to watch. The 6’4″, 215-pound edge rusher has been turning heads with his explosive play and relentless motor, earning a 3-star rating and a slew of college offers over the summer.

McClinton-Hutto’s performance on the field last season was nothing short of spectacular. He spent last year with Leesburg High School developing his skills. With his impressive combination of size, speed, and agility, he’s become a nightmare for opposing offensive lines especially headed into 2024. His ability to disrupt plays, whether by sacking the quarterback or stopping the run, showcases a versatility that has caught the eye of several major programs.

(McClinton-Hutto helped Leesburg High to a 10-2 record last year. He transitions to MDCA for his senior year in 2024.)

Among the schools that have extended offers to McClinton-Hutto are Memphis, North Carolina A&T, and Florida Central Tech among others.

McClinton-Hutto’s rise is a testament to his hard work and dedication. His journey from a promising freshman to a standout senior has been marked by significant growth both physically and mentally. MDCA Coach Kolby Tackett is very excited to have this young man as part of the program. MDCA’s defensive schemes are going to benefit greatly from McClinton-Hutto’s presence. Along with Mikey Napoli who will lead the linebacker corp, the defense looks really good headed into 2024. The coaching staff have praised McClinton-Hutto’s work ethic and leadership qualities.

(Standing 6’4″ 215lbs Tyler is menacing. He has quick speed making him perfect for the Defensive EDGE position. Expect many sacks and hurries this season.)

Off the field, McClinton-Hutto is known for his focus on academics and his involvement in community service. Balancing rigorous training with his studies, he embodies the student-athlete ideal, setting a high standard for those who aspire to follow in his footsteps.

As college programs continue to scout his performances, McClinton-Hutto remains grounded, focused on his immediate goals while considering his future options. With his senior season well underway, the anticipation is building around where he will make his next big move. One thing is for sure he is going to dominate in the Sunshine State Athletic Conference. MDCA hopes to compete for a State Championship this year and McClinton-Hutto should be a big part of making that happen.

The teams that MDCA play like to run the ball. While passing is still a part of the game, in the SSAC you seem to get more run heavy teams which will provide McClinton-Hutto with plenty of opportunity to make plays on defense. Quarterbacks in this conference are going to fear going up against him. I know I sure wouldn’t want him attacking my blind side throwing the ball.

No matter where he ends up after High School, one thing is clear: Tyler McClinton-Hutto is a name that will resonate in the world of college football for years to come. His combination of skill, determination, and character makes him not just a top recruit but a future star in the making. This is a guy that’s going to dominate this year and I truly do think that any college program that’s lucky enough to get this young man will benefit heavily.
