CLERMONT (June 27, 2023) A bigger and better Red, White & BOOM will lift spirits and light up July Fourth as Clermont celebrates America.

The free, family event will be filled with fun activities, tasty foods and live entertainment at Waterfront Park, 330 Third Street from 7 to 10 p.m., Tuesday, July 4.

A variety of music will be provided throughout the evening at the Highlander Pavilion and includes Solid State, The Crew and Host Rod – Z.

Food trucks will feature culinary delights, a pie- eating contest guarantees big, messy smiles and the “Little Firecracker” costume competition will showcase kids decked out in red, white and blue.

An Independence Day celebration would not be complete without fireworks and Clermont’s display is scheduled to begin at 9:15 p.m.

Public parking is available on Osceola, Montrose, Desoto, 7th and 8th streets as well as Minneola, West and Lake avenues.

To provide additional parking options, shuttle buses will offer free rides to Waterfront Park beginning at 6:30 p.m. from the following locations:

• Clermont Arts and Recreation Center, 3700 S. Highway 27 • Palatlakaha Park, 1250 12th Street
• Lake Hiawatha Preserve, 450 12th Street
• West Park, 1215 Lake Minneola Drive

The last shuttles will leave Waterfront Park at 11 p.m. Shuttles leaving from the Arts and Recreation Center will provide ADA accommodations.

Grab your blankets, your chairs, your family and your friends and arrive early for a festive evening on the shores of Lake Minneola.

Kyle Coppola was born in Newton, Massachusetts and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communications from Curry College in 2016. After traveling to Florida on a family vacation, he decided he could not get enough of the warm weather and made the move from snowy Massachusetts to central Florida 8 years ago.

For the last decade Kyle has gained valuable experience in social media content creation, marketing and sales, writing, video production, sports announcing and even broadcasting for local radio stations, such as FM 102.9 in The Villages and FM 91.5 in Massachusetts. Every year he volunteers at The Villages Charter High School as a play-by-play sports announcer for the football games as well as a public address announcer for the basketball games, including the annual Battle at The Villages Tournament.

Outside the office Kyle is a husband and father to two beautiful girls along with their cat. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his family, travel, play golf and swim. He is also a huge sports junkie and even bigger motorsports fan and loves to attend racing events when he can.
