South Sumter Middle School Robotics Team Win Breakthrough Award At Regional Robotics Challenge at SeaWorld
Bushnell, Fla. – South Sumter Middle School is celebrating a big achievement after their talented team participated in the First Lego League Challenge Central Florida Regionals last weekend at SeaWorld Orlando. The event brought together aspiring young innovators to showcase their skills in robotics and creativity.
The SSMS team’s efforts paid off as they earned the prestigious Team Breakthrough Award, a recognition highlighting their significant progress in the competition. This award celebrates not only advancements in the Robot Game and Innovation Project but also the team’s embodiment of Core Values, emphasizing that the journey of discovery holds greater value than victory.
“This award is a testament to the students’ dedication, teamwork, and passion for learning, we couldn’t be prouder of their hard work and commitment to excellence,” the school said in a social media post.
The competition experience was made possible thanks to the generous support of SECO, whose funding helped bring this opportunity to life. Additionally, the school expressed gratitude to the supportive parents who encouraged and enabled their students to compete.
The event showcased the students’ confidence, ingenuity, and ability to collaborate under pressure. Congratulations to the South Sumter Middle School team for this outstanding achievement! 🚀
