Style Magazine Wins 24 Awards at Florida Press Club’s Journalism Awards

Style Magazine brought home a total of  24 awards at the Florida Press Club’s annual Excellence in Journalism Awards ceremony, held Saturday night. The recognition highlights the magazine’s outstanding achievements in writing, photography, design, and storytelling, further cementing its reputation as a leading voice in Florida journalism.

Among the award winners was Nicole Hamel, Style’s lead photographer, who earned a first, second, and third place in Photography categories, including her stunning sports feature which earned her first place.

Kyle Coppola was awarded both second and third place for Sports Writing, third place for Health Writing, and third place for Education writing.

Cindy Peterson dominated the Features Writing category with three first-place awards, which included her in-depth report on human trafficking in Lake County last October. She was also awarded second and third place awards for Features Photography and second and third place finishes for Features Writing.

Shawnee Coppola swept the competition in Page Layout and Design, earning three first-place awards, two second-place awards, and three third-place awards.

Additionally, Roxanne Brown earned a third-place writing award for commentary.

The Florida Press Club’s recognition of Style Magazine shows the publication’s dedication to excellence in journalism, from powerful writing to striking visuals and innovative design. The magazine’s commitment to producing high-quality content continues to resonate with our community.
