The Men Said “Challenge Accepted” and I’m Eating Crow

From hard hats to lab coats, they brought their A-game.
Well, folks, I’m here to do something I rarely, and I mean rarely, do—I’m admitting I was wrong. Yes, you heard it here first. If you recall a previous publisher’s letter, I may have strongly implied that the men in our business community were lagging behind the powerhouse women featured in our Businesswomen of Style edition. I challenged you all to step up, and … well, consider me officially schooled. You didn’t just step up; you showed up, loud and clear, in suits, hard hats, lab coats, and everything in between.
This year’s Men of Success feature was nothing short of impressive. From doctors to roofers, real estate brokers to tech wizards, you absolutely crushed it. And trust me, I’m happy to eat a little crow if it means showcasing the incredible talent and drive of the men in our community. Bravo, gentlemen!

Now, allow me to shine the spotlight where it truly belongs. Our 2025 Style Magazine MAN OF THE YEAR is none other than Scorpio Mosley. Scorpio is the epitome of versatility and success, balancing entrepreneurship, public speaking and a killer eyewear collection that embodies style and sophistication. He’s the kind of person who inspires others not just to think big but to look sharp while doing it. Congratulations, Scorpio — you’ve shown us what being ‘The Man’ really means!
And how could we forget this year’s reverse drawing event? Watching the Men of Success network like pros, strike deals and build relationships was a thing of beauty. You didn’t just mingle; you made moves. And that’s what this is all about—not just celebrating success but creating connections that fuel it.
Look, I’ll admit being wrong isn’t my favorite thing, but in this case, I couldn’t be prouder. The men of our community have proven themselves to be movers, shakers and game-changers. Keep making waves, gentlemen—we’ll be here to cheer you on (and maybe give you a little grief along the way).
Until next month,
Kendra
