Umatilla High is Finalist for State Agriculture Advocacy Award

Umatilla High School is one of five schools in the state selected as a finalist for the 2024 Chapter Agriculture Advocacy Award, Florida FFA recently announced.
The program, formerly known as Food for America, is designed to encourage FFA members to participate in agricultural literacy and awareness projects on the local level. The overall chapter winner will be awarded on stage during the 96th Florida FFA State Convention on June 10-14 at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando.
Other chapter finalists include Beulah Middle School and Branford, Northview and Orlando Colonial high schools.
The annual state FFA convention and expo is the highlight of Florida FFA’s year. Nearly 5,000 FFA members, advisors, administrators, alumni, parents and industry partners come together to celebrate the achievements won by the past and present generations of agriculturalists, while continuing to develop their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success. While at the convention, FFA members and guests will experience motivational speakers, award presentations, exhibits, career and leadership development events, and other activities.
