Unbeaten Lake Minneola High Girls Soccer Team Turning Heads with Dominant Season

The Lake Minneola High School girls soccer team is soaring through the season undefeated, posting a sparkling 10-0-3 record that has the Hawks turning heads across Florida.

Ranked No. 76 overall in the state and No. 17 in the FHSAA Class 6A standings, Lake Minneola has built its success on a potent offense and an impenetrable defense that has surrendered just three goals all year.

Leading the charge is sophomore forward Auna Rowe, who has exploded for 18 goals, showcasing the kind of scoring touch that has opponents scrambling to contain her. She has a natural ability to make players around her better and it’s paid off in big ways for Lake Minneola.

But Auna’s brilliance is far from a solo act. Freshman goalkeeper Ella Tabone has been nothing short of spectacular in net, recording 38 saves while allowing only those three goals, a stingy performance that has helped propel the Hawks’ unbeaten run.

Adding firepower up top are senior Cali Pulver and sophomore Chelsea Clark, each with seven goals. Luna Valdes, second on the team with eight goals, has been a midfield dynamo alongside Emma Gosselin, controlling the tempo and sparking transitions which have really helped the team.

Keeping possession of the ball has been a key aspect of the team’s success. When you can keep possession of the ball that helps win soccer games.

On the back line, senior Marley Green has been a rock, while Emma Wasilewski has made a massive defensive impact, helping shut down opposing attacks before they reach Tabone. It’s been a really great group of players to watch and the team chemistry is at an all time high.

With the regular season winding down, Lake Minneola faces a challenging week ahead: a matchup at rival East Ridge High followed by a trip to Windermere Prep. The Hawks close out next week against Belleview High and Wekiva High, games that could solidify their momentum heading into district play.
