Trey Siwek, 39

Occupation: Multimedia and Sales Growth Management, Premier Kitchen and Bath, Fruitland Park

What I do: Digital marketing, lead generation and sales growth.

How I got started: I studied audio engineering and music production straight out of high school. I learned very quickly that if I was going to keep up, I needed to know a little bit of every aspect of the entertainment industry. Photo and video editing, website creation, social media management, and SEO management are all tools I’ve picked up along my journey. I graduated from Audio Recording Technology Institute in Orlando in May of 2005. Since then, I’ve been a music producer, advertiser, podcaster, streamer, editor, YouTuber, videographer and website developer. I’ve been at Premier Kitchen and Bath (the family business) since July 2023. In that time, we’ve seen a 40% increase in sales and 20% increase in lead generation so something is working.

What makes me passionate about the kitchen and bath business: The payoff. It’s almost like modern day fishing. When an advertisement or post you created is sent out into the universe as bait and you reel in a few leads and generate some sales from it, it is very rewarding.

My biggest professional accomplishment so far: Having my Podcast highlighted by Orlando Weekly only two years in.

When I’m not working: I like to cook. It’s therapeutic, delicious and it comes easily.

My first job: For my first official job, I worked two of the worst days of my life in a cornfield mid-August. My first actual job was at Publix. I was a “front service clerk,” or in other words, the best bag boy in the biz!

My local mentor: My community is my mentor. There is knowledge to be absorbed from most people. If you learn to listen and carry grains of salt with you at all times, you’ll find your way.

Fun fact: I once dressed as Paula Deen in drag for a breast cancer charity. My good friend James was a giant stick of butter. Good times were had by all.

If I had $1 million to give away: That’s a tough one. If and when the time comes, I’m sure I’ll have an answer then. I’d probably donate it to something to educate our youth. After all, I’m going to have to work with them one day.

Life after 40: Some people work to live, and some people live to work. I’d rather go wherever most easily funds my creative side. My latest adventure has been comedy and writing. Not sure where it’ll lead me, but if I’m ever able to make a living from my creativity, it would be like living a dream.
