Ellen’s Cafe On 3rd In Leesburg Forced To Move Locations

Ellen’s Cafe on 3rd is a beloved spot for locals. Situated at 110 3rd Street, it has become synonymous with delicious homemade soups, handcrafted sandwiches, and farm-fresh salads. Since its grand opening five years ago, Ellen’s Cafe has carved out a niche as a go-to spot for a satisfying lunch or a catered event.

However, change is on the horizon for Ellen’s Cafe. Rumors have been circulating around town that the cafe is moving. Those rumors have proved to be true. Brittany Montero says, ‘A week ago, Ellen’s Cafe received a certified letter in the mail. My mother was extremely scared to open it. When she finally did, it was a letter stating we had less than 30 days to vacate the building. When the new building was bought by the new owners, we were told we were “grandfathered in” and that we had nothing to worry about, which obviously wasn’t the case,” says Brittany.

(Brittany Montero right stands with her mother Ellen Montero left.)

‘They say everything happens for a reason. I strongly believe that, and this only makes my belief even stronger. The day after we got the letter, we found a building that is twice the size and has twice the opportunity. The new building is located at 712 West Main Street. We will be changing our hours to 11 AM to 5 PM and will also be serving beer and wine! We will be closed from June 28th to July 7th to facilitate the move and get settled. We are so thankful that we can continue to serve the community and remain a favorite place for locals and visitors to enjoy farm-fresh salads and hand-crafted sandwiches. We want to thank everyone for their support through this! See you on Main Street!’ says Brittany.

The new location that Brittany is referring to is the former home of Fire Rock Pizza on Main Street in downtown Leesburg, right across from McCracken’s Irish Pub. Fire Rock Pizza had a brief stint at the location, leaving behind memories of delicious pies and a cozy atmosphere. Now, Ellen’s Cafe is preparing to breathe new life into the space, bringing their tasty menu and friendly service to a more prominent location where foot traffic is sure to be higher.

The move offers several advantages. The new location on Main Street means that Ellen’s Cafe will be more visible to both locals and visitors passing through downtown Leesburg. With events and gatherings often taking place in this vibrant part of town, Ellen’s Cafe will be able to take advantage of an influx of customers eager to sample their offerings in the coming months.

(This is what the entry to the businsess looked like just a few months ago before Fire Rock Pizza moved out.)

We look forward to seeing Ellen’s Café in their new 712 West Main Street location in downtown Leesburg soon!
