City of Eustis Welcomes New Events and Communication Director

The City of Eustis announced that Cheri Moan has been named as the new Director of Events & Communication. In this role, Cheri will oversee the planning, coordination and promotion of City events and communications, working closely with City departments, businesses and community partners to enhance engagement.
Cheri has nearly a decade of municipal leadership experience, most recently serving as Special Events & Operations Manager for the City of Tavares. In that role, she directed large-scale events including festivals, concerts, seaplane fly-ins, drone shows and community celebrations. She played a key role in communications efforts, including a website redesign, as well as website and social media content strategy, media relations and promotional campaigns. Her career spans over 30 years in events, marketing, communications and client relations, with professional experience in both the public and private sectors.
“We are excited to welcome someone of Cheri’s experience and creativity to our team,” says City Manager Tom Carrino.
“I have always had a passion for bringing people together and building connections, and I’m honored to serve the residents and businesses of Eustis,” Cheri says. “The team here at the City of Eustis is truly phenomenal — their dedication and creativity inspire me every day. I look forward to leading alongside them, enhancing our current programs and creating new opportunities that not only celebrate our community, but also support economic growth and showcase everything that makes Eustis such a special place.”
A resident of Eustis, Cheri treasures time with her family and friends, especially her son, grandson and niece. She has a love for live music and festivals and enjoys cooking and home improvement projects.
