Chadi Mansour Spills the Beans on New Bakery and Coffee House ‘Sweet Magnolias’ Coming to Leesburg

Magnolia Oyster Bar is a beloved mainstay in downtown Leesburg. Since 2010 they have been serving great seafood and drinks at the corner of Magnolia and 2nd Street. Now, owner Chadi Mansour is adding a “sweet” to the “salty” right next door with the addition of Sweet Magnolias.

“I thought it would make a great compliment to the oyster bar,” Chadi says. “People can have a nice dinner and then walk over and get a great dessert and coffee.”

Chadi plans to feature cakes, cookies and pies from local purveyors, as well as mini-Dutch pancakes and bubble waffle cones that will be made on-site. High quality coffees and teas are also a part of the plan.

As for the atmosphere, it’s all about relaxing and enjoying the indoor space and outdoor patio.

“We want people to come in and stay as long as they want, whether it’s with friends or just to read and enjoy the treats,” he says.

There is no opening date set, but the permits and city approval have come through for 203 W. Magnolia.

“Thanks to the city’s support and the state’s green light, we’ve finally been able to begin construction and remodeling,” Chadi says.

For lucky customers, that means delicious coffee and a fresh take on dessert are just months away. The grand opening will be announced in the coming weeks. Follow their Facebook page for more details.
