Community Candlelight Vigil to Honor the Life of Xavier Williams

The community is invited to gather in love and remembrance for 10-year-old Xavier Williams during a candlelight vigil on Saturday, March 29 at 7:00 p.m. at Wooton Park in Downtown Tavares.
Xavier tragically passed away after weeks in critical condition following severe abuse. According to Tavares police, Xavier and his brother suffered ongoing abuse at the hands of their mother and her boyfriend. Both have been arrested, and charges are expected to be upgraded in light of Xavier’s death. Photos released during the investigation show disturbing evidence, including a ladder and weight allegedly used to harm the boys.
Despite his unimaginable suffering, Xavier’s spirit touched the hearts of many, and his memory now inspires unity and action within the community. His family has extended a warm invitation to all who wish to honor Xavier’s life and express their support during this heartbreaking time.
Attendees are encouraged to wear blue, Xavier’s favorite color, as a symbol of unity, healing, and remembrance.
Those wishing to offer additional support to the family may do so through the Tavares Police Charity or the official GoFundMe campaign:
