Dr. Juanita McCall Announced As New Principal At Eustis Heights Elementary School
Eustis Heights Elementary has announced the school’s new principal for the 2024/2025 school year. Dr. Juanita McCall will be replacing Dr. Soos, who has moved from Eustis Heights Elementary School to Seminole Springs Elementary to replace Kyle Bracewell, who has become the new principal at Mount Dora High School.
Lake County Schools says, “Dr. McCall grew up in Leesburg and is a proud product of Lake County Schools. Prior to joining the Lake County district, she worked as a high school assistant principal in Osceola County.”
Dr. McCall was most recently serving as an assistant principal at East Ridge High School. Dr. McCall has an extensive education history. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Science Teacher Education at the University of Central Florida. She then earned a Master of Science at Kansas State University studying Youth Services/Administration. She then returned to the University of Central Florida where she received her Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration.
Dr. McCall states, “I am a highly effective and equity-oriented instructional leader. With a growth mindset and a laser focus on instruction, teaching & learning along with equitable school models, I am dedicated to equipping the whole child with 21st-century skills to succeed well beyond the classroom.”
One of Dr. McCall’s favorite quotes is from Nelson Mandela: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
Congratulations to Dr. McCall. Eustis Heights Elementary School is in good hands.
Kyle Coppola was born in Newton, Massachusetts and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communications from Curry College in 2016. After traveling to Florida on a family vacation, he decided he could not get enough of the warm weather and made the move from snowy Massachusetts to central Florida 8 years ago.
For the last decade Kyle has gained valuable experience in social media content creation, marketing and sales, writing, video production, sports announcing and even broadcasting for local radio stations, such as FM 102.9 in The Villages and FM 91.5 in Massachusetts. Every year he volunteers at The Villages Charter High School as a play-by-play sports announcer for the football games as well as a public address announcer for the basketball games, including the annual Battle at The Villages Tournament.
Outside the office Kyle is a husband and father to two beautiful girls along with their cat. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his family, travel, play golf and swim. He is also a huge sports junkie and even bigger motorsports fan and loves to attend racing events when he can.
