East Ridge High School in Clermont has officially earned an “A” grade from the Florida Department of Education for the 2024-2025 school year. Up from a B rating last year.

It was a year of relentless hard work for everyone involved. Under the leadership of Principal Julie Robinson-Lueallen a long time Lake County educator, the school focused hard this year at getting East Ridge to an A program. They successfully accomplished that and are among Lake Counties top high schools.

“The success we celebrate today is a reflection of the tireless efforts of our outstanding faculty, dedicated staff, and the unwavering support of our families,” says Principal Robinson-Lueallen.

“Our incredible team of educators works diligently to create a dynamic and nurturing environment where students can explore their passions, challenge their thinking, and achieve their fullest potential,” Robinson-Lueallen added.

The school’s diverse curriculum and commitment to innovative teaching strategies have helped prepare students not just for classroom success, but for life beyond graduation and we have seen many success stories from East Ridge High graduates who are business leaders, involved in local government and are even professional athletes.

Lake County Schools Superintendent Diane Kornegay praised the achievement of the upward trend in the district.

“I am so proud of our teachers, administrators, support staff, and students,” said Kornegay. “They put in the work, and they are reaping the rewards. The greatest reward, however, goes to our students as they develop the skills and knowledge they need to be successful in post-secondary education, the military, or the workforce. We are elevating learning in Lake!”

As East Ridge High School celebrates this academic milestone, its leadership remains focused on the future. The administration is no doubt committed to building on this success by continuing to provide students with the tools, support, and opportunities they need to thrive in an ever-changing world.
