Eustis Fire Department Celebrates Eustis Elementary with Pizza Party for Food Drive Support

The Eustis Fire Department’s Station 22 team paid a special visit to Eustis Elementary School today, where they treated a preschool class to a pizza party as a heartfelt thank-you for their support during the department’s recent food drive. Chief Swanson and the fire team expressed their appreciation to the young students for their kindness, dedication, and generous donations that helped make the Tri-City Food Drive Challenge a success.
“This is a small gesture to show our appreciation for the tremendous support we’ve received from the community, and it’s important to us that the kids know just how much their efforts mean,” said Chief Swanson. “The fire department is all about giving back, and today’s pizza party is a way to celebrate that spirit of community.”
The food drive, which ran throughout the month of January, saw an incredible outpouring of generosity, with the Eustis Fire Department collecting a total of 23,600 pounds of food for the Tri-City Food Drive Challenge. Donations were accepted at Station 22, and on Saturday, January 25, the fire department, alongside volunteers and city officials, packed the donations for distribution. The proceeds will benefit the Lake Cares Food Pantry, ensuring that local families in need are supported.
The Eustis Fire Department extends its sincerest thanks to everyone who participated in the Golden Triangle Rotary Club’s food drive, from local businesses, and organizations to families who donated. The department continues to be committed to serving the community in ways that go beyond just emergency response, embracing the opportunity to create lasting, positive change in the lives of those around them.
“We’re more than just a fire department. We’re neighbors, friends, and partners in this community,” said Chief Swanson. “This is what it’s all about — working together to support one another.”
