SHUCKING GOOD TIME

The Inaugural Corn Festival was held May 24 & 25 on a sunny day in beautiful Mount Dora. Participants were treated to a hayride where the passengers heard the Zellwood origin story. There was also a petting zoo, inflatable corn maze, Captain Mac’s Kettle Corn, deep-fried Oreos and a variety of produce from Great Scott Farms. For the sporty, there was a cornhole competition, Velcro ax-throwing and finally, fireworks to end the night. Live entertainment included Mark Wills, DJ Sarah, Shelby Darrall and Will Jones. Sponsors on hand to help celebrate included Med Spa Mount Dora, Yuengling, Discover Lake County and The City of Mount Dora.
