Keep Lake Beautiful Awarded National President’s Circle Award
Lake County, FL— Keep America Beautiful, a leading national nonprofit that inspires and educates people on beautifying their community’s environment, has presented Keep Lake Beautiful (KLB) with the 2023 President’s Circle Award. This award recognizes exemplary performance by certified affiliates of Keep America Beautiful in creating clean, green, and beautiful communities.
KLB is one of nearly 700 community-based affiliates in the Keep America Beautiful network whose programs, initiatives, and efforts transform public spaces into beautiful places. KLB would like to thank every devoted and hardworking volunteer who helped them achieve this prestigious award. This year, working within their communities, volunteers logged over 3,400 hours in volunteer projects.
Keep Lake Beautiful concentrates on projects to end littering, improve recycling, and beautify the community. This year’s initiatives included participation in the Great American Cleanup, educating communities about recycling and the importance of our water quality, and beautification projects that planted four pollinator gardens throughout the County.
