Lake County, FL – LakeXpress offers 150 special stops throughout Leesburg, Fruitland Park, The Villages, Mount Dora, Eustis, and Tavares during the 2024 Annual Leesburg Bikefest. The event is scheduled to run from Friday, April 26, to Sunday, April 28.

Lake County’s Office of Transit Services, which manages the County’s public transit system, encourages Leesburg Bikefest attendees to use the bus system to travel safely during the weekend event. The area encompassing the event will be shut down in a 30-block radius, which will only be open to pedestrian and bike traffic. Passengers can board the bus at designated stops along the LakeXpress Villages, Eustis, and Tavares/Mount Dora shuttles. Additional shuttles will be available from Gator Harley Davidson and The Lake Square Mall, which will have a Park-and-Ride area near the food court entrance. A map and full schedule are available online at www.ridelakexpress.com.

LakeXpress fares are $1 each way, $3 for an unlimited day pass, or $8 for a 10-ride pass. Exact change is required. Students with a valid school ID ride free, and seniors and veterans ride for half price with ID. Transfer passes are free for single, one-way trips. Passes can be purchased online in advance and received through the mail (allow sufficient time for shipping) or by stopping by Lake County Transit during business hours at 2440 U.S. Highway 441/27 in Fruitland Park. Buses are equipped for disabled passengers (ADA accessible) and have bicycle racks.
