Local Authors Invited to Showcase Their Debut Works at Literary Arts Festival
The Leesburg Public Library is excited to announce a special call for local first-time authors who have published their first book in any genre or category since January 1, 2024.
Selected authors will have the opportunity to participate in the Library’s 9th Literary Arts Festival March 1-2, 2025 in Downtown Leesburg. Held in conjunction with the Leesburg Center for the Arts Emerge 48 festival, this 2-day event aims to celebrate and support emerging literary talents in our community. There is no charge to authors to participate in the festival and sell their books.
Event Details:
- Date: Saturday, March 1- Sunday, March 2, 2025
- Time: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Location: Main Street, Downtown Leesburg.
- Book submission date: 11/1/2024
How to Participate:
- Submit your work by 11/1/2024: Send a brief description of your book to dusty.matthews@leesburgflorida.gov. Submit a copy of your printed book to Leesburg Public Library, Attn: Dusty Matthews, 100 E. Main St., Leesburg, FL 34748
- Bio: Include a short author bio
- Contact Information: Provide your email address, mailing address, and phone number.

Originally from the small town of Berryville, Arkansas, Cindy has become a multimedia specialist in journalism, photography, videography, and video editing. She has a B.S. in Communications from the University of Central Arkansas and produces Style Magazine's Sports Hub Podcast and the Healthy Living Podcast. She also produces for Beacon College’s Telly Award-winning PBS show, “A World of Difference.” When she isn’t working, Cindy loves traveling the National Parks with her husband , Ryan, and son, David, photographing wildlife.
