Mikeen Harrison Poised for Massive Year With The Villages High
Mikeen Harrison has transferred to The Villages Charter High School for the 2024 football season. Harrison is a great player and we look forward to seeing what he can do this upcoming season.
Coming off a 4-6 season, The Villages is looking to rebound. They have a lot of talent this upcoming season, and Harrison will provide plenty of depth at the linebacker position. The 6’2”, 233-pound linebacker had a very productive year in 2023. Mikeen’s productivity on defense yielded 52 tackles, 45 assisted tackles, along with 6 tackles for a loss, 4 sacks, and he’s coming into 2024 with a ton of momentum.
Mikeen posted on social media the other day and was fired up: “I got 0 stars, 0 offers and I’m not ranked at all so when I say ya’ll gonna feel me the rest of the season, believe that!” says Mikeen.
Mikeen is not just a good football player, he is also a good basketball player and just an overall solid multi-sport athlete who excels in anything he puts his mind to.
Harrison is a quick defender. He’s also good at watching plays develop. That takes a lot of time to teach, but Harrison is the kind of player who picks things up very fast out on the field. The Villages is no doubt a great spot for him where he will have a big impact this season. Likewise, South Sumter has a good group of returning players this year both offensively and defensively and should be one of the top teams in Central Florida once again.
We don’t get to see The Villages or South Sumter play each other in 2024. Hopefully we get to see the cross town rivalry renewed at some point in the coming years but for now the teams will adjust to their new districts.
We look forward to watching Mikeen Harrison’s senior year and wish him the best of luck!
