Miss Leesburg Pageant Increases Scholarships to $15,000 for 39th Annual Event

The Miss Leesburg Scholarship Pageant announced its 39th annual pageant, scheduled for September 20 at Leesburg High School, will be seeing an substantial increase in scholarships awarded, thanks to the generous support of local sponsors and donors. This year’s event will award $15,000 in scholarships and awards to participants, up from last year’s approximate $5,000.

 

Little, Tiny, and Junior Miss winners will see their scholarships rise from $100 to $250, while Teen Miss Leesburgwill receive a $1,000 scholarship, up from $100. The Miss Leesburg titleholder will be awarded $5,000, up from $3,000. Additional awards include $2,000 for the First Runner-Up, $1,000 for the Second Runner-Up, and $5,000 in various other awards.

The Miss Leesburg Pageant was first organized in 1986 and became the Miss Leesburg Scholarship Program in 1997. As a nonprofit educational youth program, its mission is to select local girls who exemplify leadership, serve as role models, and promote pride in their community through active involvement and volunteer service. Over the years, the program has grown into a vital community initiative, offering participants a fun-filled year of engagement and growth.

Held annually as a fundraiser for the scholarship fund, the pageant relies on community support to provide scholarships to young women in the Leesburg area. With the continued backing of sponsors, donors, and local organizations, the program has become a cornerstone of youth development and education in the region.
