A big congratulations goes out to the Mount Dora Babe Ruth 14U All-Star baseball team and coaches. While they fell just short of the state championship with a tough loss to Key West, their phenomenal play, sportsmanship, energy, and attitude got them an invite to be the host team at the REGIONAL championship in Ocala next week, July 24-28th. We are very proud of this team and coaches for the way they have represented Lake County!

This achievement highlights the dedication and talent of the MDBR players and the exceptional guidance of their coaches. Despite the heart-wrenching loss in the state finals, the team’s resilience and commitment have earned them the prestigious role of host team for the upcoming regional championship. This is a big opportunity for them and win or lose we are proud of them either way.

From the 14u All-Star Coaches & Players: “We would like to thank all the Family, Friends, MDBR League, the Community, and all who have supported us to get this far and for the continued support we will need over the next two weeks as we get a chance to compete to go to the Babe Ruth World Series in Eagle Pass, Texas!”

As the team prepares for the regional championship, they are calling on the community to continue their support. The players and coaches are determined to seize this opportunity and advance to the Babe Ruth World Series.

Let’s rally behind Lake County 14u All-Star team as they represent MDBR with pride and aim for victory in Ocala. Go Mount Dora!
