Umatilla High School Athletic Association Presents $100,000 to Athletic Department
The Umatilla High School Athletic Association (UHSAA) was very proud and excited to present a check for $100,000 to the Umatilla High School Athletic Department last evening. The school has been working very hard in recent years to improve the athletics at the school along with the academics and this is just another step in the right direction.
In attendance to recieve the check was co-athletic directors Deta Brunson and Patrick Todd along with principal Brent Fraizer of Umatilla High School. “I just want to thank everyone for their support, community support and all the hard work put in by the Executive Board and all committees, members, coaches, student athletes and players involved with Bulldog Night, Folf Ball Drop and the Golf Tournament!” said Principal Brent Fraizer.
“The partnership between Umatilla High School and the UHS Athletics Association has been incredible. The success of our athletic programs and the Athletic Association is a direct result of shared common mission centered on creating mountain top experiences for our students. The Umatilla community embraces the school in so many ways and the success of the Athletic Association is evidence of that tremendous support. We are so very greatful! Truly it is a testament of what can be done when everyone is laser focused on sutudent success.” says Athletic Director Patrick Todd.
The enormous gift to the program will continue to help elevate Umatilla High School who continue to make capital improvements to the school facilities and athletic complexes. New locker rooms, paint, football goal posts, baseball bullpens, and other small enhancements have aided in Umatilla High having among it’s best athletics season in school history. All athletics programs are on the rise at Umatilla High and we have not seen this type of excitment both academically and athletically in the community in decades.
That is due to the changes made at the program by Principal Brent Fraizer, who has continued to amaze every year. The Cambridge AICE program at the school is thriving, so are students graduating with college credits and some with college degrees something that was a very rare just a few years ago. The opportunities for students have never been better at Umatilla High.
The Umatilla High SChool Athletic Association is the booster club for Umatilla High School. They are a Nonprofit organization. They are always looking for support. If you would like to get involved you can email UHSAABulldogs@gmail.com
