White Castle Confirms Expansion Into Clermont
The iconic White Castle, America’s first fast-food hamburger chain, is bringing its beloved sliders to Clermont. Known for its small, square hamburgers, White Castle is set to expand further into Central Florida after a hugely successful return to the Sunshine State in 2021.
“The overwhelming reception we received in Central Florida when we opened in 2021 continues to connect us even closer to this great community. With that in mind, we are looking forward to opening new Castles. What we can share at this time is that we have confirmed sites in Clermont, and in Kissimmee,” Jamie Richardson, vice president of the brand said in a statement.
White Castle’s re-entry into Florida began with the opening of its flagship Orlando location near Walt Disney World in 2021. Fans showed up in record-breaking numbers. With Clermont as one of the next confirmed locations, residents and visitors alike can look forward to indulging in White Castle’s legendary sliders, ‘Big Craves’ boxes, and more.
The new Clermont restaurant will join the expanding list of Florida Castles, alongside plans for a Kissimmee location and a newly permitted site near Universal’s Epic Universe. While construction timelines are yet to be announced, fans are encouraged to stay tuned for updates.
Since its founding in 1921, White Castle has remained a family-owned business dedicated to serving its 100 percent USDA beef sliders topped with onions and pickles, creating lasting memories for generations of “Cravers.” In 2014, Time Magazine declared the Original Slider® the most influential burger of all time.
