Eustis High Basketball Players Sign College Commitment Letters
It was a terrific day at Eustis High School as three players signed their college commitment letters to continue their academic and playing careers at the next level. Jay’Veon Dale signed his commitment letter to Palm Beach State College, Lashawn Williams committed to Greenville University for football, while Kyle Belgrave committed to Panhandle State University for basketball.
Coach Wesley Nino Green spoke about each player who is heading to further their careers:
“Jay’Veon Dale comes from an amazing mom. He has been pushed and tested these last two years. Jay works hard on and off the court. He was our leading scorer the last two years. He put countless hours in on developing his jump shot, which made him hard to guard. He was a great leader on and off the court. Palm Beach is getting a winner and a hard worker. The sky is the limit for him,” says Coach Green.
“Lashawn is one of the best wide receivers who has come to Eustis High School. His maturity on and off the court and field has been amazing. He is all about winning and being a great teammate. Greenville University is getting a steal; Lashawn has Division 1 football talent. He was part of the rebuild of our basketball program and has been a great asset for us,” says Coach Green.
Regarding Kyle Belgrave, Coach Green said, “Kyle had it rough. He graduated during the COVID year. He continued to fight through adversity on and off the court. He didn’t make the JV team his freshman year. But Kyle continued to work and turned himself into a college basketball player. He is a great kid and one of the pillars of our program. Panhandle State University is getting a great kid and an even better person.”
All three of these players represent the best of Eustis High School. This is a program that has been on the rise, especially the basketball program under Coach Green. This is a proud moment for Lake County. We congratulate each and every student-athlete who is going to further their education and athletic careers. Congratulations to their families, friends, coaches, and everyone who impacted them.
We look forward to watching their future!
