Meagann Goodridge

My greatest Accomplishment: I was recently awarded The Lifetime Presidential Award from Florida’s Hometown USA in November 2024 for having over 4,000 hours of community service. I was also a competitive baton twirler from the time I was in elementary school and won many state, national and international titles.

I want everyone to know that: I understand what hard work means, both physically and mentally. Without a little hard work of their own, most people do not have a true appreciation of things.

A saying I live by: Always stay true to yourself yet be open to learn.

My greatest quality: I believe that my greatest quality is my self-determination. Without this aspect you depend on others, and I just feel that being able to motivate and push yourself is very important in life.

Future goals: To graduate from Florida State University College of Nursing as a registered nurse in December of this year then to start my career as a trauma nurse.

My role models: I admire and look up to my parents. They have shown me what self-respect, dedication and determination sincerely mean—to never let anything stand in the way of your goals and to also always stay true to yourself! Life may not always be easy, and things may not always go your way but with self-respect, dedication and determination, nothing is impossible.

Top of my playlist: I listen to all types of music depending on my mood at the time. I think my all-time favorite song would be Vienna by Billy Joel.

I’m passionate about: Giving back to the community, as it has shown me so much in life while being involved. Also, I enjoy meeting new people, and with being involved in our community, I have had the opportunity to meet so many and make new friends.
