Congratulations to Villages Charter High School graduate Michael Florian, who has signed his commitment letter to continue his academic and soccer career at Otero College in Colorado.

Florian was a standout soccer star with The Villages. He has also been a star player for BRAVE SC in the USL League Two during the summer months. Florian scored an impressive 33 goals during his senior season of soccer.

Beyond that, he is a great teammate and leader. His 72 points scored during his senior year for The Villages garnered much attention. He was also second on the team in assists, with 6 on the season.

Florian was ranked as the #15 player in Florida for total points scored, along with #44 nationally with 33 goals scored. He was the #8 player in the state of Florida and the #1 player in all of FHSAA Class 4A District 5 in goals.

He is among the most talented players to come through Sumter County, and we are thrilled that we will be seeing a lot more of him in the coming years. Congratulations to Michael Florian, his family, coaches, teammates, and everyone who has helped him get to this point.
